Dishroom Attendant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Dishroom Attendant to join our team at Santa Fe Cattle Company. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized dishroom, ensuring the efficient operation of our dish machine, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and break down the dish machine, ensuring it is operating correctly and reporting any defects immediately.
• Wash and store all dishes, pre-soaking pots, pans, and silverware according to our procedures.
• Check water temperature during dish washing to ensure sanitary practices are followed.
• Remove trash from the dish room and place it in dumpsters, cleaning and sanitizing garbage cans and keeping liners in cans at all times.
• Maintain a clean and organized dish room, including the detergent stage area, and strive to keep the floor dry by mopping as needed.

Requirements:

• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to be stationary for long periods and move around the kitchen as needed.
• Ability to exert fast-paced mobility for periods up to 7 hours in length.
• Ability to bend, stoop, lift, and carry dish racks, pots, pans, and other equipment up to 50 lbs. in weight on a regular and continuous basis.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with wet floors, extreme temperatures, and loud noise.
