Job Summary:

As a Surgical Scrub Technician at Thomas Jefferson University, you will play a vital role in providing direct patient care in the Operating Room. Under the supervision of the Staff Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for maintaining aseptic and safe environments, anticipating the needs of the surgical team and patient, and providing exceptional care.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in the Operating Room, including preparing patients for surgery and maintaining aseptic environments.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and patient, and provide such services while maintaining an aseptic and safe environment.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless patient care and efficient surgical procedures.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient care and surgical procedures.

Requirements:

• High School graduation/GED required.
• At least 1 year current experience as a Surgical Scrub Technician.
• Must be able to obtain certification within 1 year of employment.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
