Classic Westchester is seeking a highly skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our Urology team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our patients and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Assist physicians with patient office visits, including rooming patients, recording vital signs, and entering accurate medical history into patient records.
- Administer medication and vaccines in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.
- Perform select clinical tests, such as glucose finger sticks and A1C testing.
- Complete administrative tasks, including prescription refills, sending referrals, and communicating with patients.
- Compile and assist providers with follow-up of lab and imaging results, and report to patients as directed.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work environment, including exam rooms and common areas.
- Field patient phone calls and electronic messages, and respond accordingly.
- Assist with requests for patient medical records.
- Demonstrate proper infection control procedures and follow universal precautions.
- Perform all aspects of patient care in a safe and efficient manner.
- Current NYS LPN license required.
- Experience as an LPN in a physician's office, preferably in Internal Medicine.
- Current Infection Control Certificate required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care according to individual needs.
- Understanding of clinical risk and ability to mitigate.
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems.
- Flexibility to work one Saturday per month.
- Ability to travel to other Medical Group locations as needed.
