Key Responsibilities:

Preconstruction Phase

As a Preconstruction Director, you will be responsible for leading collaborative delivery projects through the preconstruction phase, including CMAR and Progressive Design Build projects. You will also be responsible for preparing or overseeing the preparation of preconstruction schedules, coordinating with owners and designers to maintain schedules, and keeping internal departments informed of schedule changes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development of cost estimates at all design milestones (10% to 100%)
  • Understand treatment plant process and fill in design gaps for the completion of estimates and coordination between scopes
  • Coordinate the development and review of Self-Perform Estimates for concrete, misc metals & FRP installation, process piping, process equipment installation, earthwork, and underground piping
  • Lead the development of a GMP and manage the risk identification and mitigation process
  • Present deliverables to the owner in a complete and organized manner, per the approved guidelines of McCarthy and the requirements of the owner
Qualifications

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional with a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or 10+ years of applicable estimating, design management, and/or field management experience. Proven experience managing preconstruction for large-scale projects ($100M+) with emphasis on highly complex projects is required. In-depth knowledge of water/wastewater construction principles/practices is also required.
