THE OPPORTUNITY:

Pay rate: $19.28 per hour
Union: Local 860

Under the direct supervision of a custodian, this role involves performing various unskilled and semi-skilled tasks related to the upkeep and operation of school facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain cleanliness of buildings and grounds, including sidewalks, driveways, and recreational areas.
  • Monitor HVAC systems to ensure optimal temperature and efficient use of resources.
  • Assist in operating boilers and related equipment under supervision.
  • Clear snow and ice from walkways, driveways, and steps as needed.
  • Perform landscaping tasks such as mowing and trimming to keep school grounds safe and appealing.
  • Carry out minor repairs as capable.
  • Support ongoing preventive maintenance efforts in line with established guidelines.
  • Execute other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • Preferred: Valid High Pressure Boiler Operators License issued by the State of Ohio.
  • Demonstrated good work history, including attendance and punctuality.
