We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering & Facilities Operations Manager to join our team at the Returns Center in Upper Marlboro, MD. As a key member of our Supply Chain Engineering and Facilities team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our operations.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage a team of Maintenance Technicians, Utility Attendants, and Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) Software Technicians to ensure high equipment availability and success for the operation of the supply chain facility.
- Develop and implement a reliability-centered maintenance culture within the team, focusing on root cause elimination and continuous improvement.
- Manage external contractors, prioritize multiple projects, and meet tough timelines to ensure the smooth operation of the facility.
- Collaborate with other department leaders to achieve engineering and maintenance departmental goals.
- Oversee the accuracy and timeliness of performance metrics within the shift and develop work plans for emergency repair of critical assets.
- Act as an ambassador for safety within the team, promoting safe working practices and eliminating potential equipment safety hazards.
- 4-year degree in Engineering or related fields, or equivalent experience.
- Previous supervisory experience in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to read, interpret, and effectively communicate necessary policies and procedures.
- Ability to manage, lead, and influence others on a team while prioritizing multiple projects.
- Experience with multi-contractor management.
- Self-motivated and customer-centric.
- Excellent PC competency.
