Job Title: Juvenile Probation Officer II

This position is responsible for the supervision and performance monitoring of adjudicated and non-adjudicated misdemeanor and felony offenders in the community on behalf of the Courts and Supervised Release Panel.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Screen, assess, and staff to make appropriate recommendations on all referrals and complaints on clients.
  • Attend court hearings and make recommendations.
  • Provide supervision of juveniles by conducting home, school, and office visits to ensure compliance with court-ordered probation and supervised release requirements.
  • Maintain clients' master file and enter data into the Family Automated Client Tracking System (FACTS).
  • Collaborate with community resources, such as law enforcement agencies, schools, and service providers.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in sociology, psychology, corrections, guidance and counseling, social work, police science, criminal justice, juvenile justice, education, public administration, or closely related field.
  • Any combination of education from an accredited college or university and/or related experience totaling four (4) years may substitute for the required education and experience relevant to the purpose of the position.
Working Conditions:

Work is performed in an office setting. Late hours, weekend, and callback work may be required. Will be exposed to regular periods of video display terminal and keyboard usage and stressful situations. Some travel may be required.
