Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Telephony Systems Engineer to join our team at StratasCorp. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing telephony systems on Microsoft Azure cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deploy telephony systems, including Voice over IP (VoIP), Voice over Secure IP (VoSIP), and traditional Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) solutions
  • Implement and manage Azure communication services, such as Azure Communication Services and Azure SIP Trunking
  • Design, deploy, and manage telephony infrastructure components, including IP-PBX systems, SIP trunks, media gateways, and Session Border Controllers (SBCs)
  • Collaborate with a team of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop architecture and design drawings for migration efforts
  • Interact with external partners and agencies to engineer interconnections between different enclaves
  • Assist SMEs in preparing installation guides for an enterprise environment
  • Contribute to migration project schedules
Requirements
  • Current IAT II or higher security certification in accordance with IAWF DoD M
  • Ability to obtain an appropriate Computing Environment or vendor certification for associated communications equipment within 6 months of hire
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate certification within 6 months of hire
  • Progressive IT experience (9 years) with at least five (5) projects in technical areas included in this job description
  • Relevant certifications in telephony systems (e.g., CCNA Voice, CCNP Collaboration) are a plus
  • Extensive experience in designing, deploying, and managing telephony systems, with a focus on Voice over IP (VoIP), Voice over Secure IP (VoSIP), and Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) solutions
  • Strong understanding of telephony protocols and standards, including SIP, RTP, SRTP, and codecs
  • Experience with telephony infrastructure components and technologies, such as call routing, call queuing, and IVR systems
  • Familiarity with telephony security best practices and compliance requirements
  • Familiarity with Azure communication services, such as Azure Communication Services and Azure SIP Trunking
  • Experience creating technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and how-to guides
  • Experience working with Navy customers preferred
