**Job Summary:**

We are seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist I- RRT to join our team at Northern Light Mercy Hospital. The successful candidate will have a strong background in respiratory care, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.

**Compensation:**

$85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.

**Responsibilities:

The Respiratory Therapist I- RRT will provide patient care, treatment, and services within the scope of their license, certification, registration, and/or assessed competencies. This includes:

  1. Mechanical ventilator initiation and management.
  2. Insertion and/or care of artificial airways.
  3. Patient assessment, medication administration and recommendation for therapy, interpretation of clinical data.
  4. Airway clearance and bronchoscopy assist as appropriate.
  5. Participation in the Rapid Response Team, Code Team, Trauma Team, and Sepsis Team as applicable by member.

**Required Qualifications:**

A 2-year associate degree or a 4-year Baccalaureate Degree National Board for Respiratory Care (NRBC) approved Respiratory Therapy Program. Bachelor's degree preferred. Current BLS certification with ACLS, PALS, and NRP preferred. Current Maine State professional license and meet the current license eligibility requirements of the NBRC.
