As a member of the GE Renewable Energy Engineering team, the Senior Engineer - Mechanical Design (Engine Structures) will oversee the mechanical design, production, and delivery of hardware utilized in the development and testing of next-generation narrow-body jet engines. You will be challenged to expand the limits of what is achievable with the latest technologies and materials developed at GE Renewable Energy.

This position offers the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule after completing training. The hybrid arrangement includes a minimum of three days in the office each week, with the option to work remotely on other days, depending on team and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

PRIMARY DUTIES
  • Collaborate with minimal oversight on the design and evaluation of intricate engine structures, applying robust engineering principles while adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and program requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance and serve as a subject matter expert to assist colleagues in navigating complex tasks; mentor others within the organization.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of technical data generated for assigned hardware.
  • Develop action plans, with support, to address challenges and issues.
  • Formulate strategies to meet technical and program specifications.
  • Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program evaluations with both internal and external stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of five additional years of experience in a Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering role.
