Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Healthcare Professional to join our team in the Emergency Department at UTMB Health. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate individual to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients.

About the Role
  • This position requires a competent clinician with knowledge and skills to meet standards for professional nursing practice as specified in the Texas Nurse Practice Act.
  • The ideal candidate will possess experience and expertise in specialty area, with the ability to function as a member of the interdisciplinary team and manage unexpected or emergency situations.
  • As a resource for colleagues, this individual will provide patient care through nursing practices based upon the American Nurses Association Standards of Professional Practice, and Professional Performance.
Responsibilities
  • Assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and documents daily care of assigned patients.
  • Identifies nursing diagnoses/patient care needs, develops and individualizes care plan, and revises plan of care as needed.
  • Executes physician's orders for all assigned patients, administers medications and treatments, and delivers culturally congruent and specialty appropriate competent nursing care.
  • Performs routine technical procedures/skills in specialty area assigned.
Requirements
  • RN with two years of clinical RN experience required.
  • Must possess and maintain a current license or valid permit to practice in Texas.
  • Current BLS certification required.
Working Conditions

12 PM - 12 AM work schedule.

Salary commensurate with experience.
