Job Purpose

The Janitorial Services Team Member plays a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and inviting environment for all guests. This position is essential in upholding the visual standards of the Progressive Retail Management brand.

Qualifications

This is an entry-level position. Candidates must comply with all applicable employment laws. Preferred qualifications include:

  • Two years of janitorial experience
  • Two years of floor maintenance experience
  • Basic computer skills in a PC environment
  • Knowledge of SDS and chemical safety
  • General mechanical maintenance and repair skills

Duties & Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Greet and acknowledge every guest with sincerity.
  • Maintain cleanliness and appearance throughout the facility.
  • Identify and implement improvements to enhance guest experiences.
  • Proactively monitor the property to prevent theft and safety issues.
  • Maintain flexible scheduling, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Complete tasks with minimal disruption to guests.
  • Adhere to safe work practices at all times.
  • Report equipment outages and maintain tracking sheets for cleanliness.
  • Follow company policies and procedures consistently.

Key Performance Metrics

Performance will be evaluated based on:

  • Meeting cleanliness standards consistently.
  • Maintaining supply stock within budget guidelines.
  • Achieving quarterly attendance exceeding 97%.

Physical Requirements

This role requires physical activities such as bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods. Candidates must be able to lift and handle objects weighing 50 lbs or more safely.

Supervisory Functions

This position typically does not involve supervisory responsibilities. However, in team settings, the Store Manager may designate a lead for specific projects.
