Bioconjugation Scientist Role

This is a Bioconjugation Scientist position within the Discovery Chemistry Department at eTeam.

We are seeking a highly motivated and exceptional Bioconjugation Scientist to join our multidisciplinary discovery teams in South San Francisco, CA.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform bioconjugations of linker-payload combinations to antibodies using in-house established methods.
  • Select and apply appropriate purification techniques for biologics, including SEC, hydrophobic interaction chromatography, and ion exchange chromatography.
  • Acquire and interpret analytical data such as LC/MS.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant industry experience with BS/MS, or 5 years with PHD, in chemistry, biochemistry, or related field.
  • Hands-on experience with conjugation, purification, and characterization of antibody drug conjugates.
  • Experience using analytical techniques/instrumentation, including chromatographic techniques such as HIC, RP, SEC, SDS-PAGE, and UV-Vis.
Personality and Skills:
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly through on-the-job training and become increasingly skilled and independent in reaction setup, route design, and optimization.
Education and Experience:
  • B.S./M.S./PHD in chemistry, biochemistry, or related field.
  • Industrial or academic experience in bioconjugation, protein biochemistry, and chemistry.
