Job Summary

Catholic Health Initiatives is seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Provider to join our Critical Care team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care, collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals, and contribute to the development of our comprehensive critical care program.

Responsibilities
  • Obtain and perform comprehensive patient histories and physical examinations
  • Record and interpret pertinent data, including lab results, diagnostic studies, and progress notes
  • Write orders under the supervision of a licensed physician
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for acute illness management in collaboration with the designated primary supervising physician and/or attending backup physician(s)
  • Assess patients for changes in status and initiate appropriate interventions
  • Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and maintain effective communication with patients and families regarding ongoing medical care and supportive needs
  • Perform technical skills and other medical acts as delegated by the supervising physician, including central lines, thoracentesis, and intubations
  • Serve as a resource for nursing staff and other members of the healthcare team
  • Actively participate in conferences, presentations, and staff education, including quality improvement initiatives
Requirements
  • Nurse Practitioner: Master's degree in Adult Care Advanced Practice Nursing
  • Physician Assistant: Completion of Physician Assistant program and certification
  • Appropriate licensure as an NP/PA or eligibility for licensure in the Commonwealth of KY
  • At least one year of inpatient medicine or ICU experience preferred
Compensation

Competitive salary range: $42.49 - $71.38 per hour
