Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Building Automation Systems Technician to join our team at TDIndustries. As a key member of our building automation group, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of automated systems that control a building's mechanical and electrical equipment, including HVAC, lighting, and security systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the installation of building automation systems, including sensors, controllers, and other components that regulate HVAC and lighting systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of BAS equipment to ensure optimal performance and address any operational issues.
  • Monitor building systems for efficiency and performance, using software tools to analyze data and make necessary adjustments.
  • Collaborate with senior technicians, engineers, and other team members to learn best practices and gain hands-on experience in the field.
  • Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance activities, and system performance to support ongoing operations and compliance.
Requirements
  • 1+ years of experience in building automation systems or a related field.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems, HVAC principles, and computer-based control systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members and clients.
Preferred Skills
  • Fundamentals of A/C electrical circuits and low voltage D/C electrical circuits and operation.
  • Hands-on experience with one or more controls platforms (Siemens, Distech, JCI, Inet, etc.).
  • General controls, installations, troubleshooting, and repair experience.
