The Supply Chain Operations Specialist is responsible for executing, coordinating, and overseeing daily activities in the storage facilities, including the organization of vessels and units, processing new storage entries, supervising team members, and ensuring the safe handling and movement of boats in and out of storage.
This role requires exceptional organizational, communication, and practical boating skills to effectively collaborate across departments and achieve company-wide objectives that support storage, sales, and service operations. Ensuring the safety of company assets, personnel, and customer property is the highest priority for the Supply Chain Operations Specialist.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize available software applications (e.g., Lightspeed, Boatcloud) to manage storage units and schedule launches and stows.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the facility and customer assets.
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies and operational processes among barn staff.
- Foster interdepartmental collaboration to meet overarching objectives across the facility.
- Oversee maintenance and inspection of facility equipment (e.g., tractors, forklifts).
- Conduct training for staff on specific tasks, roles, and procedures.
- Work closely with the dockmaster to ensure seamless operations regarding fuel, rental boats, and storage activities.
- Guarantee the safe movement of customer property.
- Collaborate with the General Manager to address complex issues and achieve broad goals.
