Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the dispatch of transport requests for both clinical and non-clinical departments, ensuring timely and professional service.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of transport staff, providing constructive feedback to enhance service quality.
  • Manage departmental communications, addressing inquiries regarding transport delays and operational challenges.
  • Supervise and mentor staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
  • Maintain accurate staff schedules and timesheets, ensuring compliance with departmental standards.
  • Oversee the issuance and inventory management of staff uniforms.
  • Collaborate on the development and implementation of departmental policies aimed at optimizing patient transport and equipment delivery.
  • Generate and analyze Capacity Management reports, utilizing data to inform departmental performance and improvement strategies.
  • Engage in staff training and development, promoting a culture of excellence within the team.

Qualifications

Required: An Associate's degree with a minimum of one year of experience in a healthcare setting, or five years of experience in transport services with at least one year in a supervisory capacity. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.

Preferred: Three or more years of experience in a large healthcare facility and additional supervisory experience.
