Job Title: Site Supervisor

At Desert Pre-School Academy, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Site Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing direction, guidance, support, and evaluation to assigned staff, ensuring the highest quality of early childhood education and care for our children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and develop center staff, ensuring compliance with California Department of Education (CSPP) and Community Care Licensing regulations.
  • Monitor and report daily attendance, CACFP, and ensure completion of DRDP's, action plans, and summary of findings for children.
  • Ensure compliance with Environmental Rating Scales (ERS) and maintain a safe and healthy environment for children and staff.
  • Plan daily schedules of staff and classroom, ensuring effective use of time and resources.
  • Attend monthly staff development meetings and meet with staff to address any center concerns.
  • Ensure Community Care Licensing (CCL) compliance with children, staff, and facility, and track and monitor Ages and Stages Questionnaire (ASQ's).
  • Report and adhere to any IEP/IFSP plans of any children enrolled at facilities, and ensure quality of interaction amongst staff and students by adhering to the CLASS tool.
  • Monitor communication amongst families and staff within the Learning Genie App platform, and ensure implementation of Frog Street curriculum on a daily basis.
  • Responsible for submitting supply requests for facility needs and potential areas of concern for facility maintenance.
Requirements:
  • AA/AS Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field with at least 24 ECE/CE semesters units, including classes in child/human growth and development, child, family, and community, programs/curriculum, and administration and supervision of child care and development programs.
  • Obtain Child Development Site Supervisor Permit.
  • Two years of experience with preschool children in a group care setting, including at least 100 days of supervising adults in a child care development program.
  • Previous teaching experience or experience working with children, and personal qualities such as being friendly and inviting, adaptable, and open to constructive feedback.
  • TB Clearance, Physical, Fingerprinting Clearance by FBI, DOJ, Child Abuse Index, Vaccines (TDAP every 10 years and MMR), Flu Shot annually, CPR/First Aid Certification (every two years), and Mandated Reporter Training (AB1207 every two years).
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to work in a classroom setting, communicate effectively with parents, staff, and management, and carry and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time, bend, lift, and carry, and complete tasks with numerous interruptions.
  • Ability to supervise numerous children at once, while ensuring safety as a priority, and be prepared for accidents and emergency drills at any time.
