Medical Care Associate

At Patterson Health Center, we are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant/CNA to join our team.
Job Summary
This is a full-time position that requires the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced medical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist medical practitioners with patient care, including vital sign checks and medication administration.
- Prepare examination rooms and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Schedule consult visits and coordinate patient flow.
- Assist with special procedures, including minor surgery and wound care.
- Administer injections and medications as prescribed by the practitioner.
- Handle patient and other phone calls as directed by the practitioner.
- Responsible for inventory, handling, and storage of medications.
- Make patient referrals and maintain follow-through on appointment details.
- Assist pharmaceutical representatives and other company representatives.
- Keep examination and treatment rooms clean and properly stocked.
- Responsible for ordering medical supplies.
- Backup for receptionists on incoming phone calls as needed.
- Call in or electronically submit pharmacy prescriptions and refills as directed by the practitioner.
- Complete annual review requirements in a timely manner.
- Attend and participate in monthly meetings as schedule allows.
Requirements
- AMT Certification preferred
- Basic Life Support
- Knowledge of electronic medical records - Cerner experience preferred
- 1 year experience in a medical office setting preferred
Grows personally in the job and conducts self ethically at all times to enhance the image and future growth of the Patterson Health Center.
Maintains good standing with licensure.
Performs other job-related duties and activities as directed by the practitioner(s), clinical nursing supervisor, and/or clinic administrator.
