Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Rheumatology Care Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, collaborating with our physicians, and contributing to the overall success of our practice.
Responsibilities
- Examine patients and their medical records to identify potential health issues and develop effective treatment plans.
- Order and study diagnostic tests to diagnose and manage autoimmune and arthritic diseases.
- Diagnose and propose treatments for patients with various rheumatic conditions.
- Prescribe medications and IV Infusion Treatments as needed to manage patient symptoms and improve quality of life.
- Maintain accurate records and schedules to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
- Inform patients about their health conditions and prescribed medications to promote patient education and empowerment.
- Educate patients and their family members on diseases and treatment plans to foster a deeper understanding of their health.
- Oversee patients' overall health and provide guidance on healthy lifestyle choices and disease management.
- Promote good health practices and encourage patients to take an active role in their healthcare.
- Advance professional knowledge and conduct research to stay up-to-date on the latest developments in Rheumatology care.
- Other duties as assigned by collaborating physician to ensure the smooth operation of our practice.
Requirements
- New grads or experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Rheumatology, Internal Medicine, Orthopedics, or Primary Care preferred.
- Bilingual - English and Spanish preferred to effectively communicate with our diverse patient population.
- Knowledge of health and patient care regulations to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Excellent communication skills - verbal, and written to effectively collaborate with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Strong ethics and integrity to maintain the trust and confidence of our patients and colleagues.
- Team player with a positive attitude, patience, and cool-headedness to thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Willingness to continue gaining knowledge and clinical experience to stay current with the latest developments in Rheumatology care.
- Valid Georgia Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license to practice in our state.
