The Senior Public Health Educator will be responsible for developing culturally and linguistically appropriate health education materials and classes related to chronic and infectious diseases. This includes community engagement and outreach, with a focus on creating health education content in one-on-one and/or group settings on topics such as Monkeypox (MPOX) or chronic disease.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement health education programs for diverse populations
  • Collaborate with community partners to promote health education and outreach
  • Design and deliver health education materials and classes
  • Conduct health education sessions in one-on-one and/or group settings
  • Provide health education content on topics such as Monkeypox (MPOX) or chronic disease

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Behavioral Science, or a closely related field
  • Two years of experience in Public Health, Education, or a closely related field
  • Valid Texas Driver's License and compliance with AP 2-2 policy

Working Conditions

The position occasionally requires stooping or bending, and occasional very light lifting of up to 20 pounds or an equivalent weight.

Work Environment

The work environment is essentially normal, with acceptable lighting, temperature, and air conditions.
