Job Title: Loan Sales Specialist

The Loan Sales Specialist is a key member of our team, responsible for conducting thorough loan interviews, obtaining and sharing pertinent information, and inputting loan applications received by phone and the internet.

Job Summary:

This role provides superior service to members via various channels, including phone, fax, mail, online banking, and the internet. The specialist must be alert to members' needs, resourceful in offering solutions, and precise when completing loan applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct loan interviews and obtain pertinent information
  • Input loan applications received by phone and the internet
  • Provide superior service to members via various channels
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities and suggest ways to improve members' financial positions
  • Notify members of loan decisions and suggest ways to improve their financial stability
  • Coordinate loan disbursals with members and retail center personnel
  • Discuss applications and loan decisions with loan officers when necessary
  • Act as a Member Center Associate when business needs dictate
  • Responsible for actively promoting products and services
  • Ensure confidentiality of all information and transactions
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 2 years' financial institution experience
  • Demonstrated sales experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with members, potential members, and coworkers
  • Ability to accurately and efficiently process member loan requests
  • Ability to understand and interpret forms, account entries, and transactions
Additional Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Proven ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Technological skills, including computer/software literacy and use of a multi-line phone system
Physical Demands:

This position may require stooping, bending, squatting, and reaching for limited periods of time. Occasionally may be asked to handle, move, and/or carry large boxes of supplies/files weighing up to pounds. May require sitting and standing for extended periods of time.
