Job Description

As a Restaurant Host/Hostess, your responsibilities will include:

  • Greeting guests upon arrival, seating them promptly, and attending to their needs throughout their visit
  • Maintaining accurate reservations and waitlist records, ensuring seamless table turnarounds and minimizing wait times
  • Providing clear information about menus, promotions, and events, while making recommendations based on guest preferences
  • Collaborating with servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to ensure a cohesive and efficient service experience
  • Managing cash and credit transactions, handling gratuities, and operating point-of-sale systems accurately
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar position within a fine dining restaurant
  • Exceptional customer service skills, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality experiences
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with colleagues and guests alike
  • Basic math skills and accuracy when handling cash and credit transactions
