Onit is seeking a Cloud Operations Engineer to enhance our team and drive our cloud initiatives. In this role, you will be tasked with streamlining processes to facilitate our offerings from development to deployment.

This encompasses infrastructure provisioning (Infrastructure as Code), management, and monitoring, as well as constructing deployment pipelines for our solutions utilized by legal departments worldwide.


Location:
This position is fully remote.

Key Responsibilities:
• Automate, provision, and oversee cloud resources across development, testing, and production environments.

• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for the deployment of Onit applications.

• Diagnose application issues and collaborate with support teams.


• Partner with product teams to identify and prioritize DevOps needs related to performance, scalability, monitoring, component upgrades, and cloud-native solutions.

• Engage in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to facilitate progress and address any obstacles.

• Implement solutions adhering to Onit’s best practices for security, compliance, and governance across our application infrastructure.

• Create documentation and guides to assist others in managing the infrastructure.

• Continuously assess emerging cloud and DevOps technologies to uncover opportunities, trends, and best practices that can enhance development methodologies.

Required Skills & Experience:
• In-depth knowledge and experience with AWS.

• Over 3 years of recent experience in managing and automating AWS infrastructure using Terraform.

• Proficiency in running containers and Kubernetes in a production environment.

• Experience with Postgres or any SQL database.

• Proven track record in building CI/CD pipelines (experience with Jenkins and GitLab CI is advantageous).

• Strong skills in Linux and Git.

Desirable Skills:
• Familiarity with one or more programming languages (preferably Ruby or Python).

• Experience with enterprise web applications in a production setting.

• Knowledge of Helm and Ansible is a plus.

• Experience with various AWS technologies including EC2, RDS, EFS, EKS, ECS, S3, SQS, Elasticache, VPC, Lambdas, and Sagemaker.
