POSITION SUMMARY: Provide counseling services to individuals and groups to facilitate educational and vocational development.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist individuals in recognizing and addressing personal, social, or behavioral challenges that impact their educational or career paths.
- Offer crisis support to students during challenging situations within the educational environment.
- Collaborate with parents, educators, administrators, and specialists to discuss student progress, resolve issues, and set priorities.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of student interactions in accordance with established policies.
- Guide students in preparing for educational pursuits and promote the exploration of various learning opportunities.
- Assess students' abilities, interests, and traits through diverse evaluation methods.
- Identify family-related issues and make referrals to mental health professionals when necessary.
- Advise students on academic matters, course selection, school adaptation, and career pathways.
- Deliver specialized services, including preventive programs and conflict resolution workshops.
- Conduct follow-up consultations with students to evaluate ongoing needs.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
- Licenses/Certifications: A valid driver's license is required; CDL endorsement is a plus.
- Experience: At least five years of relevant experience in supervising a team.
- Mobility: Expected to stand and walk for approximately 8 hours daily.
- Weight Handling: Frequently lift up to 40 lbs and occasionally up to 70 lbs.
- Physical Activity: Unlimited grasping and finger dexterity required.
- Coordination: Ability to operate machinery, tools, or office equipment.
- Additional Physical Demands: Frequent reaching to shoulder height; occasional stair climbing; exposure to temperature extremes.
