We are currently in search of a dedicated Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to become a vital part of our esteemed cardiothoracic program.
Position Overview:
Specialty: Inpatient Cardiac APP
Financial Status: Employed Practice
Practice Type: Existing Practice
Care Setting: Inpatient Only
Qualifications:
- NCCPA board certification or National Certification by an accredited nursing organization is essential.
- DEA license is required (or eligibility to obtain one).
- ACLS certification from a recognized organization is mandatory.
- Previous experience in cardiothoracic surgery or cardiac care is advantageous.
- Candidates should possess some acute care experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee patient care in the Cardiac Surgery ICU, managing cases including CABG, valve replacements, ECMO, aortic dissections, and aneurysm repairs.
- Perform bedside procedures within the defined scope of service.
- Document progress notes, participate in daily rounds, write orders, and dictate discharge summaries.
- Engage in hospital-wide quality improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless continuity of care.
Work Schedule:
- 7 on - 7 off shift pattern from 7 pm to 7 am, with 12-hour shifts.
