Job Title: Advanced Practice Provider

At University Hospitals, we are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Provider to join our esteemed team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and advancing the field of medicine.

Job Summary

The Advanced Practice Provider is responsible for providing high-quality patient care, increasing patient access and satisfaction, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Initiates and maintains positive relationships with patients and colleagues
  • Takes responsibility for self-development and supports a learning environment
  • Displays commitment to the mission of the hospital and its values
  • Performs patient assessment and assigns diagnosis based on recorded assessment data and current scientific research
  • Establishes plan of care and implements interventions in accordance with carepaths, protocols, and standards of care
  • Collaborates with other healthcare providers in an interdisciplinary approach to provide care to the patient and family
  • Contributes to the educational development of staff, patients, family, and self
  • Demonstrates progressive leadership and effective management
  • Provides education through role modeling and in-services to meet identified learning needs and to promote professionalism
  • Advances own professional development through self-directed learning, continuing education, and participation in peer review
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Master's Degree in Nursing or Master's Degree from an accredited PA educational program
  • 1+ years of experience as a NP or PA
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Demonstrated skills in interpersonal relationships
  • Computer skills to access patient medical data from UHHS mainframe
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Ohio, and Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the State of Ohio, or Current Physician Assistant (PA) in the State of Ohio
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Preferred
