Job Overview

Position: Billing/Account Specialist

We are a dynamic and expanding logistics firm looking for a full-time Billing/Account Specialist to become a vital part of our Operations team. This role is based onsite, operating Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with a one-hour lunch break.

Reporting To: Operations Manager

Primary Duties:

  • Identify and record transactions such as leases, asset acquisitions, and payroll journal entries in accordance with GAAP and IFRS standards.
  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly reviews and reconciliations of invoices and bank statements.
  • Process payments for accounts payable, employee reimbursements, vendor payments, and contractor reimbursements.
  • Organize and file invoices received from independent contractors and vendors.
  • Support month-end and year-end financial closing activities.
  • Contribute to annual business planning, including departmental budget forecasting, tax considerations, and profit enhancement strategies.
  • Adhere to accounting procedures in compliance with company policies when submitting invoices for processing.
  • Calculate interest revenue and expenses utilizing compound interest rates.
  • Determine Present Value (PV) and Future Value (FV) as required.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, billing management, or a related field, along with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 3 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Familiarity with accounting software such as SAP or QuickBooks, as well as knowledge of sales tax, business licenses, and payroll taxes.

This position typically involves the use of standard office equipment, including computers and telecommunication devices. The role may require prolonged periods of sitting, typing, and computer work, with occasional lifting of items as necessary. Compensation and Benefits:

The Billing/Account Specialist position is eligible for participation in GLOVIS EA's comprehensive benefits package, which includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with matching contributions, and generous paid time off.

Salary Range: The estimated base salary for this role is between $55,700 and $61,000. This range is provided in accordance with applicable salary transparency laws and reflects a good faith estimate of what GLOVIS EA anticipates paying for this position at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on various factors, including specific skills, certifications, years of experience, market conditions, and travel requirements.
