Bridge Superintendent Job Description

Gpac is seeking a seasoned Bridge Superintendent to lead our bridge and heavy highway-related projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth progress of projects, representing the company in a professional manner, and promoting a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the project manager to determine method and sequencing of construction, planning, directing, coordinating, and budgeting activities.
  • Manage day-to-day activities, prepare daily electronic field logs, and oversee multiple tasks, crews, and projects.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with owners, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Communicate and promote safe working practices, adhering to OSHA regulations and company safety standards.
  • Inspect work in progress to ensure quality workmanship that conforms to contract specifications and standards.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in road, bridge, concrete construction, asphalt paving, and/or related projects.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a foreman-level or similar supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry requirements.
  • Ability to take on challenges, adapt to changing conditions, and manage multiple priorities without direct supervision.
