The Nurse Manager serves as a pivotal leader, overseeing the daily functions of the Surgery Center and Pre-Admission Testing Clinic.
Key Responsibilities:
· Manage the planning, directing, and oversight of staffing assignments to align with departmental goals and policies, ensuring optimal coverage and productivity.
· Direct and coordinate staff activities effectively.
· Engage in unit operations and activities.
· Ensure a clean and safe environment is maintained.
· Foster a professional atmosphere within the nursing unit.
Qualifications:
· Minimum of 3 years of relevant nursing experience required.
· At least 2 years in a supervisory or charge nurse role within surgical or day surgery settings.
· Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
· Valid Registered Nurse license in Texas; if holding a Compact License, Texas license must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
· Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
