About the Job
We are seeking a skilled Pastry Cook I to join our team at Pendry Chicago. As a Pastry Cook I, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality pastry products, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and working collaboratively with our culinary team to deliver exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare a wide variety of pastry products according to menu descriptions and hotel standards.
- Restock kitchen supplies and food items as needed, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and execution of food orders.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Three years of experience in cooking, preferably in a standalone restaurant or hotel environment.
- Knowledge of pastry techniques and cooking methods, with a focus on creativity and innovation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
