The primary objective of this position is to support the IT Operations, Management, and Planning for Lindenwood Christian Church, including Child Care, Media operations and streaming. In addition to daily operations, responsibilities include planning for network and system upgrades and improvements, to include developing scopes of work, project plans, deliverables, and milestones to ensure a reliable, stable, secure, but fluid IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain and Optimize Local Company Networks and Servers: Ensure the integrity and security of the church's network infrastructure, including local area networks, wide area networks, and servers.
- Assess System Performance and Recommend Improvements: Conduct regular assessments of the church's IT systems to identify areas for improvement and recommend upgrades or modifications to ensure optimal performance.
- Oversee Data Backup and System Security Operations: Develop and implement data backup and system security protocols to protect the church's IT systems from unauthorized access, data breaches, and other security threats.
- Document, Prepare, and Execute Backup Procedures: Develop and maintain documentation for backup procedures, including data backup and system recovery plans.
- Act as Administrator for All LCC Technologies: Manage and maintain all IT systems, including VMWare, MS 365, Azure, Active Directory, Avaya phone controller, Kantech, ExacQvision, Ubiquiti controller, ATT Business, Fortigate, Bitdefender/Xcitium, HVAC Energy Management System, and Synology.
- Propose, Purchase, and Configure New Desktops, Laptops, and Mac Products: Research, recommend, and purchase new IT equipment, including desktops, laptops, and Mac products, and configure them for use by church staff and members.
- Manage Installations, Upgrades, and Configurations of Hardware, Software, and Media Services: Plan, coordinate, and implement the installation, upgrade, and configuration of IT hardware, software, and media services, including servers, switches, printers, and other equipment.
- Maintain Profiles for New and Former Employees in Office 365, Outlook, Kantech, Avaya, Domain Controller, etc.: Manage and maintain user profiles for church staff and members, including email, calendar, and other IT services.
- Support Installation of New Servers, Printers, Switches, Computers, UPS Devices, and Other Hardware Equipment: Assist with the installation of new IT equipment, including servers, printers, switches, computers, and other hardware devices.
- Support and Maintain Windows-Based Desktops and Laptops and Keep Them Updated: Ensure that all Windows-based desktops and laptops are properly configured, maintained, and updated to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Support Network Printers and Keep Them Updated: Manage and maintain network printers, including configuration, troubleshooting, and updating.
- Ensure Data is Managed, Transferred, or Processed According to Legal and Company Guidelines: Ensure that all data is properly managed, transferred, or processed in accordance with relevant laws, regulations, and church policies.
- Prepare Written Policies and Procedures, Test Them, and Implement After Approval: Develop, test, and implement written policies and procedures for IT operations, including data backup, system security, and other IT-related activities.
- Be Responsible for Device and Password Management: Manage and maintain all IT devices, including desktops, laptops, printers, and other equipment, and ensure that passwords are properly managed and secured.
- Manage and Create a Tag System for Equipment Inventory and Asset Management: Develop and maintain an inventory system for all IT equipment, including desktops, laptops, printers, and other devices.
- Provide Support and Guidance to Stakeholders: Provide technical support and guidance to church staff, members, and other stakeholders, including troubleshooting, training, and other IT-related services.
- Respond to Work-Order Requests in a Timely Manner: Respond promptly to work-order requests from church staff and members, including troubleshooting, repair, and other IT-related services.
- Resolve Issues Escalated by Childcare and Church Ministry and Media Departments: Resolve IT-related issues escalated by the childcare, church ministry, and media departments, including troubleshooting, repair, and other IT-related services.
- Support Media Where Needed and Fill In When Needed: Provide technical support for media-related activities, including camera operation, switcher operation, and soundboard operation.
- Perform Other Duties as Required or Requested by Supervisor: Perform other IT-related duties as required or requested by the supervisor, including special projects, training, and other activities.
- Control Costs and Budgets Regarding IT Systems: Manage and control IT-related costs and budgets, including equipment, software, and other IT-related expenses.
- Work with Executive Minister on Contracts with Vendors: Collaborate with the executive minister to develop and manage contracts with vendors, including software licenses, hardware purchases, and other IT-related services.
- Establish and Foster Positive and Professional Working Relationships with Vendors, Community, Staff, and Church Parishioners: Develop and maintain positive and professional relationships with vendors, community members, church staff, and parishioners, including communication, training, and other IT-related services.
