Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Intermediate Coronary Care unit at Rhode Island Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care, working closely with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, implementing and evaluating nursing care plans in accordance with established hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team, patient, and family to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Assess and provide education to patients and families on health promotion, disease prevention, and management of chronic conditions.
  • Participate in unit-based quality improvement and research activities to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  • Assume charge nurse responsibility for the patient care unit as delegated.
Requirements
  • Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Rhode Island or licensure in accordance with the Nurse Licensure Compact agreement.
  • Baccalaureate in Nursing preferred.
  • Current Basic Life Support and ACLS/PALS certification as appropriate.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to patient care situations. The successful candidate will be able to lift, position, and push patients on stretchers, and will be required to stand and walk extensively throughout the shift.
