Position Overview

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

This is an ongoing recruitment effort. Applications will be reviewed continuously, and qualified candidates will be considered weekly until the position is filled.

The VA provides a comprehensive rewards package, including:

The selected Physician will provide care for General Orthopedic patients and participate in on-call duties. A specialization in the surgical management of sports-related injuries is preferred. An active medical license is required for application.

Essential Duties

The Physician will:

  • Manage a variety of orthopedic conditions, including those requiring arthroplasty, arthroscopy, and fracture care.
  • Conduct independent patient consultations and perform in-office procedures.
  • Supervise orthopedic residents and advanced practice providers in various clinical settings.
  • Demonstrate expertise in managing sports-related trauma and performing complex orthopedic surgeries.
  • Engage in academic teaching and mentoring of orthopedic residents.
Work Schedule

This is a full-time position with a Monday to Friday schedule, typically structured as a compressed workweek. On-call responsibilities will be required, with coverage approximately every five weeks.

Qualifications

To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Medical degree from an accredited institution.
  • Current, unrestricted medical license.
  • Completion of an accredited residency in Orthopedic Surgery/Sports Medicine.
  • Board certification in Orthopedic Surgery/Sports Medicine is preferred.
Physical Requirements

Candidates must be able to perform moderate lifting, carry objects, and engage in physical activities necessary for patient care.
