About This Role
At Commerce Bank, our Commercial Loan Servicing team provides critical back-office operations support for our commercial, business banking, and specialty lending products. We work closely with our Sales and Credit teams to remove roadblocks and complete operational tasks that enable us to meet our customers' commercial lending needs.
Our team's operational tasks can include loan document preparation, loan accounting, collateral perfection and monitoring, and legal and regulatory review.
As a Commercial Loan Servicing Representative, you will be assigned to a specific team and tasks based on business needs and your skill set.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct a preliminary review of loan submissions to ensure regulatory and legal compliance
- Prepare loan documents in accordance with Commerce Bank's credit policy
- Interpret complex loan documents to set up loans on our loan accounting system
- Post loan transactions and provide account problem resolution
- Monitor and report on collateral securing commercial loans
- Conduct a post-closing review to ensure all documents comply with regulatory requirements and Commerce Bank policy
- Collaborate with internal and external business partners to improve service levels
- Provide research and resolution to customer concerns/issues
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Ability to analyze, interpret, and understand commercial loan and/or legal documentation with a high degree of accuracy
- Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Inquisitive, agile, and strong team player with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and a positive attitude
- Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook
Education and Experience
- Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required
- 1+ years customer services experience required
- Commercial lending experience preferred
