Objective:

As a Lead Technical Product Strategist, you will be an integral part of the Product Management and Technical Pre-sales team at L&T PT&D Digital Energy Solutions, operating under the CTO organization. Your role will focus on driving innovation in our Digital Energy Solutions tailored for the Cleantech/Energy & Utilities sector. You will be tasked with developing, documenting, and executing a detailed strategy to identify user requirements, refine product scope, and ensure the timely delivery of sophisticated technical products. Collaborating closely with the CTO, you will provide our teams with the necessary insights and methodologies to excel and foster continuous improvement within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will possess robust technical acumen and extensive experience in the energy & utilities sector, particularly in product engineering and development roles. This position requires a blend of managerial and technical expertise to effectively lead development teams. In this capacity, you will:

  • Identify and comprehend customer requirements, translating them into precise technical product specifications (functional, non-functional, and technical).
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams, including developers, engineers, architects, quality assurance, and business operations such as product marketing managers and business analysts.
  • Ensure that requirements are thoroughly understood and that implementation strategies align with expectations.
  • Research and monitor technical trends within the industry and beyond.
  • Conduct regular competitive analysis to assess technical capabilities.
  • Provide training for internal teams and customers on product usage.
  • Address inquiries regarding product features and capabilities to support Sales & Marketing initiatives.
  • Evaluate, document, and mitigate technical risks in partnership with architecture and product development teams.
  • Act as a product ambassador and subject matter expert within the technical and developer communities.
  • Oversee beta testing and establish success criteria for product validation.
  • Facilitate the creation and upkeep of comprehensive product documentation.
  • Lead technical pre-sales efforts and product demonstrations to support sales and marketing teams.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 5 years in Product Engineering/Technical Product Management (3+ years with a Master's degree) focused on Power Transmission & Distribution System Automation & Control Software.
  • Experience with Agile-based Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) in enterprise environments for over 5 years.
  • At least 4 years of experience as a Product Owner.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in Scrum, Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CICD), and DevOps methodologies.
  • Proficient in requirements gathering and aggregation.
  • Experience with digital/software solutions in the Electrical Power Transmission & Distribution sector.
  • Familiarity with scripting and programming languages.
