Job Summary

This position supports the Oral Surgery department at Indiana University Bloomington.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule patient appointments to ensure effective treatment and patient care.
  • Ensure proper staff resources are available to accommodate patient load.
  • Provide office information and respond to inquiries.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and regulations in clinics.
  • Manage patient and student inquiries, and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Process payments, enter coding on patient accounts, and assist with billing inquiries and discrepancies.
  • Apply insurance benefits and authorizations to patient accounts to determine patient due amounts.
  • Reconcile daily deposits and conduct closing procedures.
  • Place prescription orders.
  • Assist with other tasks as needed in the clinic.
Qualifications

Combinations of related education and experience may be considered. Education beyond the minimum required may be substituted for work experience. Work experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted for education.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent (such as HSED or GED).

Working Conditions
