Responsibilities
  • Pre-Shift Preparation
    • Inspect and prioritize loads of dishware, utensils, and equipment for washing and sanitizing.
    • Prepare the dishwashing area for operation, including setting up cleaning solutions and sanitizing equipment.
  • Dishwashing and Sanitizing
    • Wash and sanitize all dishware, utensils, and equipment to the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
    • Operate the dishwashing machine and ensure it is functioning properly.
  • Post-Shift Cleaning
    • Clean and sanitize the dishwashing area, including the dishwashing machine, sinks, and surrounding areas.
    • Store clean dishware, utensils, and equipment in designated areas.
  • Additional Responsibilities
    • Assist with cleaning and sanitizing other kitchen areas, including the dining room and waitstaff station.
    • Deliver ice to the dining room and assist with serving and bringing in dishes to the kitchen as needed.
    • Perform other cleaning and sanitizing tasks as assigned by the Food Service Manager.
    Requirements
    • Education and Experience
      • High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
      • Previous experience in a food service or kitchen environment preferred.
    • Skills and Abilities
      • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management.
      • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
      • Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and supplies as needed.
