We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Intermountain Health Riverton Hospital. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will provide advanced-level respiratory care to patients, working closely with our interdisciplinary team to diagnose, evaluate, treat, manage, and control deficiencies or abnormalities of the cardiopulmonary system.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patient needs and physician orders, performing respiratory care procedures within the Scope of Practice of the Respiratory Care Department.
- Evaluate, monitor, and maintain patient care within established guidelines, seeking information from other members of the interdisciplinary team as needed.
- Plan and implement patient care plans, communicating with patients, families, physicians, nursing, and support staff to ensure effective care delivery.
- Independently perform procedures, assessments, and interventions, participating in Clinical Program initiatives and monitoring outcomes.
- Support department or specialty care area projects or programs, standardizing and implementing department protocols, policies, and procedures for patient care delivery.
- Graduate of a NBRC-approved Respiratory Therapist program, with a verified degree from an accredited institution.
- Current State License as a Respiratory Care Practitioner and Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (RRT).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers and specific certifications as required (i.e., PALS, ACLS, NRP).
