Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at the Children's Recovery Center. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to pediatric patients, including setting up and managing patients on continuous mechanical ventilation, weaning patients from ventilation, and thoroughly documenting all therapeutic and diagnostic activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate the effectiveness of respiratory care provided to pediatric patients.
  • Provide direct patient care respiratory services, including setting up and managing patients on continuous mechanical ventilation.
  • Wean patients from continuous ventilation according to established procedures.
  • Thoroughly and completely document all therapeutic and diagnostic activities and results in the patient's medical record.
  • Assess the appropriateness of the respiratory care ordered and discuss variances with primary physician when necessary.
  • Formulate an appropriate Respiratory Care plan based upon patient assessment, monitor and identify any problem regarding quality assurance, and communicate effectively with all physicians utilizing respiratory care services in clinical area.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an approved program in Respiratory Therapy.
  • Two years of relevant experience.
  • Credentialing and registration as required by state.
  • Ability to apply pediatric respiratory principles in the clinical setting.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills required.
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented with ability to problem solve.
  • PALS certification required (may complete after hire).
