Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Signal Processing Engineer to join our team at the University of Texas at Austin.

Overview

The Signal Processing Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing digital signal processing algorithms, implementing them in software, testing, documenting, and maintaining DSP software.

This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, including hardware, software, and systems engineering teams. You will participate in project reviews and technical interface meetings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Develop DSP Algorithms: Implement digital signal processing algorithms and develop software solutions to meet project requirements.
  • Test, Document, and Maintain DSP Software: Ensure high-quality software by testing, documenting, and maintaining DSP software.
  • Process and Analyze Data: Process and analyze data to inform design decisions and improve software performance.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with hardware, software, and systems engineering teams to achieve project goals.
  • Present Technical Expertise: Present software designs and test results to sponsors and other external organizations.
  • Provide Technical Assistance: Provide technical assistance to users, addressing their questions and concerns.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Experience with digital signal processing algorithms and software development.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
