Territory Sales Manager – Commercial HVAC Job Summary

We are looking for a Territory Sales Manager to enhance sales performance within the designated region. This role involves direct engagement with key OEMs, contractors, and engineering firms while overseeing a network of sales professionals across branch offices and third-party representatives.

The successful candidate will represent innovative electro-mechanical components that contribute to advancements in the commercial building automation sector, including unique valve and damper actuator product lines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive interest in commercial HVAC products to boost overall sales within the assigned territory.
  • Establish and nurture professional relationships with HVAC Controls contractors, Control Distributors, Mechanical Contractors, End Users, Consulting Engineers, and prospective clients through various communication channels.
  • Provide education on the commercial product portfolio through engaging presentations and discussions.
  • Collaborate with clients to identify and resolve issues, offering effective solutions.
  • Support inside sales teams with quote preparation and order processing as required.
  • Identify and monitor sales opportunities within the assigned territory.
  • Work alongside customers and external sales teams to address challenges and gather insights for strategic bidding on HVAC projects.
  • Enhance market presence and sales volume in the designated area.
  • Track HVAC projects and formulate strategies to secure project orders.
  • Strategies may include influencing specifications, identifying bidders, coordinating bid proposals, and selecting successful contractors for final quotations.
  • Prepare quotations based on project specifications or customer-provided details.
  • Utilize CRM software to identify and track project opportunities within the assigned territory.

Position Requirements

  • A college degree or 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in the commercial HVAC industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Adherence to the company's Drivers Policy, including maintaining current auto liability insurance and compliance with safety practices.
