Position Title
Vehicle Maintenance Technician
Position Overview
- Perform repairs and upkeep on company-owned vehicles and machinery.
- Conduct inspections, repairs, maintenance, and testing of vehicles and equipment at designated intervals based on mileage, time, usage, or upon malfunction.
- Examine, test, and align lights on trucks, vans, and light-duty equipment, ensuring the integrity of electrical systems and controls.
- Service and repair braking systems, engines, and all associated chassis components.
- Ensure vehicles meet the standards set by state or federal DOT for motor vehicle inspection and safety regulations.
- Utilize gauges, drills, grinders, measuring tools, and other specialized equipment as necessary.
- Document time and activities by completing time cards and repair orders daily.
- Submit completed documentation to Fleet Data Entry in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Manage parts inventory levels, report potential safety concerns, and communicate other issues to the supervisor on a daily basis.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
