Maintenance Technician Job Description

Apex Systems is seeking skilled Maintenance Technicians to join our team in the Global Repairs industry. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing electrical, welding, painting, plumbing, and/or carpentry repairs, as well as troubleshooting and conducting periodic inspections to determine maintenance work required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform electrical, welding, painting, plumbing, and/or carpentry repairs.
  • Troubleshoot and conduct periodic inspections to determine maintenance work required.
  • Follow preventive maintenance instructions and ensure that records for such are properly documented.
  • May perform or assist in the installation, relocation, and reinstallation of new and/or existing equipment.
  • May perform or assist in the repair and maintenance of support equipment, including air compressors, air dryers, vacuum systems, HVAC, and DI water systems.
  • Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to operate a personal computer, including using a Windows-based operating system and related software.
  • Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Ivy's software packages.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Read and understand visual aids.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
  • Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.
  • Proficiency in the use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products, and email skills required.
Education Requirements:
  • Technical certification in Electronics or Electrical Engineering or a related field.
