At Sonida Senior Living, we are seeking a skilled Maintenance Director to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance and upkeep of our facilities, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and document preventative maintenance programs for our facilities and equipment.
  • Maintain the grounds, including outside building repair, lawn maintenance, and garbage removal.
  • Ensure the inside of our buildings, offices, and common areas are clean and well-maintained.
  • Maintain and/or oversee the repair of equipment, ensuring it is functioning properly and staff are trained in its use.
  • Prepare apartments for move-in and complete refurbishing of units after move-out.
  • Observe and report any problems, concerns, or issues with resident apartments, the building, and the grounds.
  • Avoid loss, breakage, and waste of supplies and equipment.
  • Protect our assets from theft.
  • Maintain fire safety and emergency records, as well as perform required inspections.
  • Maintain the maintenance budget for repairs, supplies, and service agreements.
  • Order supplies and maintain inventory control.
  • Train staff on systems, equipment use, housekeeping, and cleaning standards.
Requirements:
  • Experience in janitorial/maintenance work, with familiarity with minor repair and maintenance techniques.
  • Experience in building safety and hazard reduction is helpful.
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service and care to our senior residents.
  • Dependability and responsibility are essential.
  • Open-mindedness and a willingness to listen to and share new ideas.
