About the PositionThe Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at DePaul University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the level of Assistant Professor. The successful candidate will be expected to teach a variety of courses at the undergraduate level, including lectures and labs for organic chemistry and possibly biochemistry.
Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate courses in chemistry and biochemistry, including lectures and labs.
- Develop an active research program within their area of expertise.
- Contribute to service to the Department, College, and University.
The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry is an ACS accredited department offering BA and BS degrees in Chemistry and in Biochemistry, and MS degrees in chemistry with thesis and non-thesis options. The department is comprised of research-active tenure line faculty and full-time teaching faculty.
About the College and UniversityThe College of Science and Health is the third largest college at DePaul, enrolling over 3,000 students. The college includes programs in biology, chemistry and biochemistry, environmental science and studies, health sciences, mathematics, neuroscience, nursing, occupational therapy, physics and astrophysics, psychology, and speech language pathology.
Requirements- PhD in Chemistry or Biochemistry.
