About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Patient Care Technician to join our team at DaVita Inc. in Milford, Pennsylvania. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing direct patient care to individuals suffering from end-stage renal disease or chronic kidney disease.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to enter the healthcare field and possess excellent communication skills. You will work closely with a cross-functional team of clinicians, including nurses, dietitians, social workers, and leadership, to deliver exceptional patient care. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing direct patient care, monitoring patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment
  • Recording patient statistics, observations, and hemodialysis machine setup
  • Building long-term relationships with patients and educating them on kidney dialysis-related topics
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Physical and mental ability to work long hours on your feet
  • Comfortable working around blood and needles
  • Ability to mix acid or bicarb

Compensation

The estimated salary for this role is $44,000-$54,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. Compensation includes a competitive hourly rate, plus additional incentives and benefits.
