Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Problem Solving: Collaborate with operations teams to identify and resolve quality issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
  • Quality Problem Identification and Resolution: Develop and implement strategies to identify, track, and resolve quality problems, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Product Feasibility Assessment: Participate in advance product feasibility assessments to ensure maximum contribution of research, development, design, engineering, and testing to achieve first-time-through capabilities with superior quality.
  • Design Review and SPC Selection: Collaborate with program teams to review designs and select measurement points for Statistical Process Control (SPC).
  • Quality Requirements Development: Evaluate and develop quality requirements, ensuring compatibility with company needs and maintaining world-class technological advancements.
  • Engineering Change Implementation: Assist in implementing new engineering changes, ensuring seamless integration with existing processes.
  • Quality Advice and Improvement: Provide management with potential problems or concerns, offering opportunities for improvement and enhancing overall quality.
  • Processing Parameter Optimization: Assist in developing optimum processing parameters for new and ongoing programs, ensuring maximum efficiency and quality.
  • Customer Issue Resolution: Collaborate with customers, production, and plant management to resolve customer issues, ensuring satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Compliance and Due Diligence: Ensure compliance with IATF16949 standards, ISO 14001, and MIOSHA regulations, maintaining a safe and environmentally responsible work environment.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Mechanical Engineering Degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing quality environment within the automotive industry.
  • Solid understanding of welding processes and assembly equipment.
