Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining efficient manufacturing processes to drive business growth and improve employee working conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance product flow and reduce production costs
  • Create and maintain visual work instructions to ensure seamless operations
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify and resolve manufacturing problems and concerns
  • Implement corrective actions to minimize process downtimes and rejects
  • Design and produce CAD drawings as required
  • Consider all aspects of industrial plant engineering when designing and implementing process changes
  • Participate in the engineering change process by designing and updating Process Failure Mode Effects Analyses (PFMEAs) and reviewing operators' instructions
  • Provide engineering support to assembly on the production floor, addressing safety, ergonomic evaluations, methods improvement, and procurement of necessary equipment
  • Maintain and organize the drawing database, including CAD and hard copies
  • Collaborate with skilled trades to troubleshoot machine problems
  • Manage and organize ECR/PDECR documents, including FMEA, flowcharts, and other relevant materials
  • Assist with other projects as requested by the Plant Manager
  • Support Kaizen Team and GEAR activities
  • Ensure compliance with TS16949, ISO Environmental, and MIOSHA standards
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Experience in a related field or discipline, with robotic welding experience a plus
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production reporting systems, and MRP
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to interact with all levels of employees
  • Fluency in English and ability to write instructions, plant operating procedures, and routine reports
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including spreadsheets, databases, word processing, and CAD (SolidWorks)
  • No restrictions regarding travel to Canada
