Position Summary:

The Material Handling Equipment Technician is tasked with executing routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on a variety of material handling and agricultural machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct inspections, servicing, and repairs on forklifts and agricultural machinery.
  • Disassemble, overhaul, repair, and reassemble components such as engines, transmissions, clutches, brakes, and electrical systems.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance services, ranging from minor to extensive repairs.
  • Utilize all necessary tools, including precision instruments, welding equipment, and power tools, for adjustments and repairs.
  • Accurately complete all required documentation, including work orders and safety inspections.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and cleanliness standards for all company tools and equipment.
  • Exhibit excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Maintain and update personal tools as required.
  • Keep workspaces organized and adhere to all safety protocols.
  • Be available for overtime work as necessary.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

· Mechanical experience in automotive, diesel, or forklift maintenance is essential.

  • A one-year certificate or Associate's degree from a technical school; or five years of relevant heavy equipment experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions effectively.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Physical Requirements:

  • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to bend, squat, and reach as needed.
